Limitex rotary limit switch, rugged and reliable, is used to control the movement of industrial machinery in potentially explosive areas.
An explosive atmosphere is a mixture of air and gases, vapors, fumes or combustible powders, where combustion quickly propagates (explosion) after ignition at atmospheric pressure.
The limit switch operates as an auxiliary controller of electrical motors through a power interface, such as a contactor or PLC.
FEATURES
Revolution ratios range from 1:15 to 1:499 (standard ratios 1:20, 1:25, 1:50, 1:75, 1:100) and non standard revolution ratios are available on request.
A worm gear and a helical toothed gear combined with one or more pairs of straight toothed gears are used for the transmission of the movement from the input shaft to the output shaft.
Revolution ratios result from the use of different combinations of gear wheels between the input shaft and the output shaft, which is connected to the cams
MATERIALS
The limit switches have a rugged external enclosure made of G20 cast iron, ensuring protection against water and dust.
Transmission and gear driving shafts are made of AISI 316 stainless steel to prevent oxidation and wear.
The data nameplate is also made of stainless steel.
The gear wheels and the driving bushes are made of self-lubricating techno-polymer material, suitably chosen to reduce the wear to a minimum and to maintain the accuracy of the couplings over time Sintered bronze bushes are molded into the base of the
limit switch to optimize the shaft rotation and to prevent rubbing with plastic material.
OPTIONS
Limitex can be equipped with cam sets with a 2, 3 or 4 switches.
The limit switch is available with direct control switches to operate directly on the transmission.
The limit switch has fixing feet and can be equipped with a flange for direct coupling to the transmission.
Special output shaft dimensions are available on request.
Each cam can be set with great accuracy thanks to the cam adjusting screws.
